Written by Naomi Wallace, the ‘Retreating World’ is set at an international bird convention, where an Iraqi man has come to talk about his birds. While talking about his birds, he is reminded of his life in Iraq before, during and after the First Gulf War, and his memories reveal how much this war has cost him.
