Description:
The project is a theatrical work comprising several individual and interdependent scenes. The scenes involve vocal and physical elements of performance. The text was produced through a collaboration between the performers and the director. The major theme revealed was the pervasive feeling of ghurba (a difficult word, which can be loosely translated as 'alienation'). At the root of this alienation are a variety of issues including emotional and political frustration, sexual frustration and homosexuality, generational and family conflicts, and a sense of confusion with regards to identity, on a number of levels.
